I read another attempt at this so decided to try it
Mods Used: Twallan’s Story Progression* and Master Controller
* I will be turning story progression off for the houses in my challenge and setting aging to TS2 Style. I haven’t played around with this much so hopefully this will work.
I will be playing this as a matriarchy, rather than a patriarchy, because I’m a girl and so are all the simselves I’m using! It’s fun to play either way though.
1. Start a brand new empty neighborhood – I emptied and edited Sunset.
2. Create 6 CAS married couples
3. No cheats that will affect your sims – I have opted to not keep score for the amount of money so I will be using freerealestate – I don’t like starting with little houses and building so I’m deciding to start with a free house for each couple. I will then reduce their family funds to $1,000 so it’s not too easy.
4. You may use any of the lifetime rewards except fertility treatment.
5. Pregnant sims should avoid apples and watermelons – That might include pancakes and other fruit dishes…I will probably mostly have them eat quick meals to avoid it all together
6. Move each couple into a home
7. Play each family in turn for one week (from Monday am to Monday am), adding families as daughters become young adults as explained later. Keep track of your families so that each family is played the same amount of time – I will try to update after each family’s rotation.
8. Your Sims may work at any job or profession
9. Each family may have up to four children. (five or six if the fourth try turns out to be twins or triplets).
10. If the couple has all boys that family is out of the game. Move them to the Sim Bin immediately after the birth of the last child and bulldoze their
home. They no longer exist.
11. The first daughter in any family inherits the family home and she and her husband stay in the same home with her parents. Any younger daughters will move out when they become young adults and start their own home.
12. The daughters may marry any of the sons from the other homes or a neighbor or service sim if they choose. Doesn’t matter but they must keep their own last name. At the end of the game there can be no more than six (four by the original rules) family names in the town. For my challenge, those names are: Dusk, Kitty, Noir, Jeffrey, Doe and Cole.
13. Sons born into families with daughters may stay in the game for one week
rotation after they become young adults (this should give them time to marry one of the other families’ daughters). If they have not married by then, they can either be moved to the Sim Bin (for story purposes I may give them a life out of town) or kept in the family home with the oldest daughter. They may never marry or have children. If they get a girl pregnant out of wedlock, it will cost points in the end.
14. If a family should decide they need a bigger home or home lot, they may move from their original home to another home. They can only do this at the beginning of a new week when it is their turn in the rotation of families (Monday AM).
15. The game ends at the end of the rotation of families when the 50th home is in the neighborhood.
Scoring is as follows:
ADD POINTS FOR:
+500 – Each family name still in game (possible 2500 points if each
generation of each family had a daughter).
+100 – Each lifetime wish achieved
+1 – Each skill point of all remaining Sims.
+1 – Each 1000 (round up) lifetime happiness points not used.
+25 – Each home in the neighborhood.
+25 – Each set of twins (remember, no fertility treatment reward and avoid kids music and kids TV when pregnant)
+30 – Each set of triplets (remember, no fertility treatment reward and avoid kid’s music and TV when pregnant)
SUBTRACT POINTS FOR:
-100 for each generation it took to achieve the 30 (or more) homes.
-10 for each male child born into game (even the ones that were moved
to the Sim Bin).
-500 for each child of an unmarried family male.
